His family manufactured pianos from 1893 to 1980, a tradition started by his great grandfather, William Danemann. Tim worked at the family factory in Islington, London, aquiring the skills on which he now draws.

Restoration
Using traditional methods and materials, he expertly restores instruments by various manufacturers including: Broadwood, Hopkinson, Boesendorfer, Steinway, Erard, Blüthner, Berry, August Foster, Bechstein, Chappell, Steck, Eavestaff, Barnes, Mayall and Waldemar, etc.
